OPEN DAYS

BASIC PROFESSIONAL IN VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

Wednesday, May 8, at 12:00 h. The open day was held for students interested in this training specialty.

Here we see the principal of the center, Mª Jesús Riol, explaining to the young people, together with parents and educators, the structure and operation of the center.

Igor and Rober, two of our students in this formative specialty (on the right in the photo), offered to tell, with simplicity and spontaneity, their own experience in classrooms and workshop.

We also briefly view the contents of our website, a fundamental tool, where we can find relevant information both of Basic VT in general and of our institute in particular.

The activity ended in the mechanics workshop where visitors could on the one hand check the facilities, equipment and spaces in situ and, on the other hand, have the opportunity to ask any questions to the teacher and the other Igor and Rober's classmates.

Similarly, on Friday, May 10 and at the same time, it was the turn of teaching classrooms and workshops to all those interested in the specialty of Hairdressing and Beauty Care.

To finish, the visitors received a treatment of hot paraffin and a sample of nail decoration with stamps (stamping).

BVT PORTUGALETE: BBQ IN GORLIZ

Yesterday, March 27, we went to Gorliz to participate in a complementary activity: a barbecue enlivened with games and sports. We take the opportunity to say goodbye to the second level students, who finish their formative stage in the center since many of them start the internships in companies.

The sunny day helped to spend a wonderful day among the pine forests of the area. There was a good atmosphere with promises to MasterChef preparing the hamaiketako or brunch for all the staff.

We leave you some pics of the day

FIRST AID COURSE AT BVT PORTUGALETE

On Thursday, March 21st, the second level students participated in a First Aid course taught by Mr. Carlos Antonio Pérez, Head of the Primary Care Unit of the Ezkerraldea-Enkarterri District (belonging to the Department of Osakidetza), and coordinated by Elena Sánchez, Head of Training and Labor Orientation of the Basic Vocational Training Portugalete

The course lasted two hours. The techniques and procedures for action in vital emergencies were explained, focusing to a large extent on basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation, obstruction of the airway by foreign body and assisted resuscitation with defibrillator among other things.

Our students were divided into groups and participated practicing the different maneuvers in various scenarios of urgent assistance. Let's hope that nobody may need to execute them in real life but, in case of being forced, these small big gestures may come to save someone from a dangerous situation.

We take this opportunity to leave a link of interest related to First Aid
