DAY AGAINST GENDER VIOLENCE

During the month of November the students and faculty of the center participated in a series of activities that made us reflect on the use and consequences of new technologies in coexistence and especially in gender violence through two workshops organized and developed by Pantallas-Amigas. Both workshops promoted the safe and healthy use of new technologies and awareness in situations of gender violence.

We also visited the Aula Joven of Portugalete to see the exhibition "Quino a por todos", in favor of equality and the rights of women.

In class, after seeing some videos proposed from Portugaleteko Aisialdesarea, we reflected and developed a decalogue of the positioning of students in the face of gender violence, inequality and in favor of women's rights.

We also made a map of Spain, in which we put a purple card for each woman killed during 2016 in each autonomous community. The figures are tremendous and seeing the map full of purple spots when the activity ended was shocking. We also did it as a tribute to all women who have lost their lives due to gender violence.

To finish we participated in the tour of Portugalete "Put on the purple glasses" from a feminist perspective, on November 25th.
