The second level students of the Municipal Institute of Basic Vocational Training Portugalete participated during this school year in the 5th edition of the STARTinnova program, obtaining a great qualification in the development of an entrepreneurship project.
8 centers of Alava and 33 of Bizkaia participated in this edition. We have been the only center in Portugalete that has taken part and the experience has been very positive and enriching, both for the students and for the teaching staff.
The projects presented have been very innovative: an application for mobile that helps us combine clothing and accessories, taking more advantage of what we have in the closet; a versatile mobile phone case with different accessories; a health service that provides advice for a healthy and balanced diet by supplementing it with the sale of a small appliance that cooks without fat; a project consisting of opening a home for adolescents and young people who are in situations of need.
On last February 5th, the scores were published by the evaluation committee. The group that had submitted the application for mobile related to fashion was ranked 17 out of a total of 111 groups in the under 18 category. A success that we have celebrated in the center proud of the work done.
To end this activity, the four groups will present their projects to the rest of the students of the center, sharing their experience with them and encouraging their classmates to participate in programs such as this one that facilitate an alternative method in the learning of basic transversal competences such as communication verbal, non-verbal and digital; to learn to learn and to think; to live together; for the initiative and the entrepreneurial spirit and to learn to be.
